As housing secretary, I would often talk about the common sight of young people, with their faces hard pressed against the window of the estate agents, trying — and failing — to find a house they can afford.
As my colleagues travel back to Westminster today, they will be conscious of the immense responsibility they carry, and it should weigh heavily on them.
It is a pleasure to follow the hon. Member for Wallasey (Dame Angela Eagle). I am filled with great sadness as I rise to pay tribute to the life and memory of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
