Bromsgrove MP, Sajid Javid, met with staff and volunteers at the Artrix Vaccination Centre last Friday to personally thank them for their work in the vaccination rollout.
Describing the team as “local heroes”, Sajid highlighted the importance of their work to the local community, since the centre opened in January 2020.
This was demonstrated again over the Christmas period, when the Artrix opened for 24 hours on multiple days to deliver boosters. Over 221,000 vaccinations have been delivered in Bromsgrove District from hubs, GP surgeries and home visits.
Nationwide, over 38 million Boosters and Third Doses have been delivered, with the Prime Minister recently setting out the Living with Covid Plan and removing all legal restrictions.
Sajid Javid MP said:
“I was delighted to visit the Artrix again to thank the incredible staff and volunteers, who have been so important in this local and national effort. They should be incredibly proud of their ongoing work and are local heroes to so many residents.”
“Whether it’s local GP surgeries, community hubs or visiting nurses and doctors, everyone has played an immense part in this rollout and their continued work is exceptional.”
