BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid has revealed his next Jobs Fair to help people across the district get into work will take place on April 22.
The event – at North Bromsgrove High School from 10am to 12pm – will be the seventh event of its kind and be returning face-to-face after it had to move online during the pandemic.
In 2019 – the last one to be held in-person – people took advantage of thousands of career opportunities offered by 70 local, national and international employers.
This year Mr Javid will be bringing together an even broader range of local businesses and organisations looking to make their next hire.
Confirmed attendees already include Severn Trent, Hewett Recruitment, JCB, Barclays Bank and the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
The Jobs Fair is free for exhibitors and members of the public to attend and will be useful for both people trying to find work and those looking to change career.
Mr Javid said: “I am delighted to be hosting my Bromsgrove Jobs Fair once again.
“They have been a fantastic success in the past for both businesses and attendees and I know this one will be the same.
“I know how intimidating it can be to apply for a job. That’s why my Jobs Fair gives everyone the chance to talk one-on-one with potential employers, and hear about the opportunities available to them first-hand
“Whether you’re looking for a job that’s full-time, part time, a change of career or an apprenticeship, I would be delighted to see you at the Fair.
“There really is something for everyone.”
He thanked primary sponsors Excool, The Best Connection and Sanctuary Group and said it would not be possible to run the Jobs Fair without the generous contributions of local organisations which cared about the community.
Mr Javid and his team are currently looking for exhibitors and sponsors for the event.
