BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid has announced the winner of his annual Christmas card competition he holds for local schoolchildren across the district.
The winning entry going on Mr Javid’s official card – which will be sent to The Queen and the Prime Minister, among others – was designed by nine-year-old Emelia from Finstall First School.
Sajid congratulated her on her design and took a quick-fire question and answer session with Emilia and her classmates on a virtual call.
The runners-up included Kirat, five, from Millfields First School, Tasmin, aged six, from Finstall First School and Demi-Lou, 13, from Catshill Middle School.
Mr Javid said: “Congratulations to Emilia on winning my annual Christmas card competition!
“It is a fantastic design, and I am extremely pleased to use it as the cover of my Christmas card this year.”
“Thank you to everyone who submitted entries this year.
“The artwork was an incredibly high standard, and I always enjoy looking at the excellent designs.”
