Bromsgrove District Council and Local MP, Sajid Javid, have been successful in securing £14.5 million to level up Bromsgrove Town.
The funding will go towards the regeneration of the Town centre, with the first major project being the redevelopment of the former Market Hall site to create a vibrant new commercial and cultural hub.
The huge amount of funding was announced by Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, in his Autumn Budget.
This project will deliver a mix of flexible commercial and cultural space to provide enterprise and innovation support for start-up businesses and businesses with growth potential and a multi-purpose space that will become a town centre destination.
Responding to the success of the application, Sajid Javid said:
“I am delighted that we have secured a huge £14.5 million investment from the government’s levelling up fund. This funding will support the regeneration of the Town centre and High St, alongside providing a great boost to our local economy.”
