BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid has today officially opened a new extension at Chadsgrove College.
The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care was also accompanied by Court Leet Bellman Kevin Ward and Bailiff Jo Slade as part of the ceremony.
The new building will house a bathroom and medications facility at the centre in Catshill.
Chadsgrove Educational Trust is currently the only college in Worcestershire providing bespoke personalised educational programmes for students aged 19 to 25 with physical disabilities and those with complex medical needs. This new facility has been funded by the college with support from the Tishie Yong Foundation.
Mr Javid met with students, staff and directors of the college after cutting the ribbon.
During his speech he said he was delighted to open the new extension, adding he could not wait to see it.
“I always love coming to Chadsgrove, especially on a day like today when you have such great news to celebrate and share with the community.”
