Bromsgrove MP, Sajid Javid, has welcomed the progress of the vaccination rollout in Bromsgrove District and urged anyone aged over 18 who hasn’t received their jab, to come forward.
The latest figures show that 88% of the adult population in Bromsgrove District has received at least one dose of the vaccine – with 74% having also received their second dose (as of July 18).
The Artrix vaccination centre in Bromsgrove is now operating as a ‘grab a jab’ clinic with no appointment required - Monday to Saturday 8.00am to 7.30pm and Sunday 8.00am to 1.30pm throughout July.
Nationwide, over 46 million people have received at least one dose – more than any other country in Europe–and over 36 million people have received both vaccine doses.
Sajid Javid MP said:
“Thanks to our vaccination programme, we have a stronger wall of protection than we’ve ever had against this virus. I want to thank everyone who has come forward for their jab in Bromsgrove District and all the volunteers, nurses and doctors for their crucial work.”
“I would encourage anyone who has not received their jab already, to come forward and get theirs. The vaccine is saving lives and gives us long-term protection against this virus”.
