BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid has spoken out over President Donald Trump’s comments claiming both sides are to blame for the violent unrest in Charlottesville, America.

One woman was killed and many more injured after violence broke out between white nationalists and counter-demonstrators in the city on Saturday, August 12.

President Trump initially condemned white supremacist groups two days after the deadly race-fuelled clashes, declaring “racism is evil”.

He has since blamed liberal groups in addition to white supremacists for the violence, insisting “there is blame on both sides”.

Bromsgrove MP and Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Sajid Javid has now had his say.

He posted on Twitter: “Neo-Nazis: bad. Anti-Nazis: good. I learned that as a child. It was pretty obvious.”

Right-wing protesters assembled in the city over plans to take down a statue of Confederate General Robert E Lee.
